Phil has represented in litigation and arbitration the business interests for companies and individuals. He has advised organizations regarding commercial contract, trademark, trade secret, partnership, and employment disputes. While working for a respected Northern California firm, Phil obtained summary judgment and writs of attachment orders; handled pleadings, discovery, pre-trial motion practice, and expert discovery; participated in a Federal Court IP trial and second-chaired a 17-day arbitration proceeding over a breach of contract dispute.
Phil has also advised plaintiffs in False Claims Act litigation focused on pursuing high stakes procurement fraud cases with the U.S. Department of Justice. Working for a litigation boutique in Northern California, Phil directed the firm’s electronic discovery practice. In that role, he supervised the production and analysis of ESI while training government attorneys, federal investigators, firm lawyers, and document reviewers regarding the discovery of ESI. Phil handled discovery motion practice while representing clients at discovery conferences and in negotiations with adversaries.
